How to Donate Computers or Laptops in New York
We offer three easy, secure ways to donate your used computers and electronics:
- Drop-Off Donations
Donors can drop off devices directly at our ITAD Chapter’s facility. Donation tags (Donation IDs) are required and must be attached to each item. - Pick-Up for Businesses
We offer pick-up services for organizations, companies, and schools donating more than five devices. This is ideal for corporate laptop donations and bulk IT asset recovery. - Mail-In Laptop Donation (Free Shipping)
Our mail-in program provides free UPS Ground shipping labels for individuals with a few devices. Simply fill out our online form to get started. Click to donate by mail.
How the Computer Donation Process Works
- Complete the Donation Form
Tell us what you’re donating and where you’re located. - Receive Your Donation IDs
Once approved, you’ll receive a PDF with Donation ID tags to print and tape to each device. These identify your items as donations to World Computer Exchange. - Arrange Drop-Off, Pick-Up, or Mailing
After receiving your Donation IDs, we’ll coordinate the appropriate method of delivery. - Get Your Tax-Deductible Receipt
Once your devices are received and processed, we’ll send you an official donation receipt for tax purposes.

We accept most working computers and electronics under 7 years old, including: Laptops (Windows, MacBooks, Chromebooks), Desktops and All-in-One PCs, Tablets and Smartphones, Monitors and Computer Peripherals, Chargers and Power Adapters, Servers and Networking Equipment, Hard Drives and E-readers
Data Security & Destruction
Your data is safe. All ITAD Chapters are required to perform secure data wiping or physical destruction of storage devices. Certificate of Data Destruction available upon request.
