What Do WCE Chapters Do?
Our local Chapters are the backbone of our work. Chapters receive and process computer donations, supporting World Computer Exchange. Chapters are supported by volunteers and IT Asset Disposition (ITAD) companies. Chapters do the following:
- Recruit local computer donations
- Data wipe and refurbish computers
- Load computers with WCE’s educational content pack and help research or develop more content
- Recycle dead equipment to a certified recycler
- Fundraise for the Chapter and for the Chapter’s next shipment
- Assist with local Youth Skills and Inspire Girls clubs
